American Grit is a a super fine light gray powder that creates extra depth and dimension when you pounce it into wet wax. It settles into all the nooks and crannies creating fantastic shadows especially if they have lots of texture. I apply it in sections after the wax has been brushed on and leveled out but is still wet. The variations and extra depth of color and texture it gives a piece is super cool and it's easy to apply.
